Aliceville German Prison Camp

German prisoners were housed at Aliceville, Alabama during World War II.  These prisoners arrived on a Frisco passenger train and are being taken to the camp that was located on the west side of town.  During World War II the Army built a prisoner of war camp at Aliceville, Alabama.  The Frisco Railroad hauled prisoners to Aliceville for the Army.  You can see soldiers in this picture and a passenger train in the background.  The roof showing just above the truck and passenger car is that of the depot.
