Aliceville German Prison Camp
German prisoners were housed at Aliceville, Alabama during World War II. These prisoners arrived on a Frisco passenger train and are being taken to the camp that was located on the west side of town. Alabama, Tennessee & Northern Railroad
During World War II the Army built a prisoner of war camp at Aliceville, Alabama. The Frisco Railroad hauled prisoners to Aliceville for the Army. You can see the prisoners and soldiers in this picture and a passenger train in the background.
