  Other Roads

S&C 1000 This is the last remnant of the Sumter and Choctaw Railway which is on display in York, Alabama.  The track and bed were taken up several years ago.
SR X406 The Norfolk Southern Railway runs a local from Selma, Alabama to Boligee, Alabama and this Southern caboose is another endangered species.  Notice the rear end marker and also the RED.  This was on January 30, 1999.
LD 1 The Meridian & Bigbee Railroad yard at Naheola, Alabama had a visitor from her parent line.  This is a picture of LDRR #1 caboose that was traveling to Montgomery, Alabama.  This was just before the M&B took over the old L&N line from Myrtlewood to Montgomery.
